I’ve started writing about software stuff with some coworkers at Ternary Operator.

I’ve already written about making SOAP calls from OS X and command line parsing in Cocoa.

I don’t imagine I’ll be writing much here anymore. Which is an odd thing to say since this is only the fourth post on this blog and the last one came almost a year ago. So I guess it’s still true that I won’t be writing here much. :)

An Unexpected Plus

So, testing out phase 1 of my new project has shown me that I have some unexpected copies of some big movie files hanging out in my ~/Library folder. I have no idea what they’re doing there, but already I’m finding this latest endeavor much cooler and more useful than the last!

In case you’re interested, the movie files are episodes of classic Doctor Who starring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor.

New Project

I started working on a new project last night. I’m not sure how much detail I want to go into because it’s fun pretending that I’m Gus Mueller and that I’m important enough to have secret projects.

Instead, I’ll list the things I’m hoping to learn:

Spotlight (NSMetadataQuery)
NSOutlineView
NSFileManager
Background operations (threads? I hope not; at least until I can develop on Leopard)

What could it be, I wonder?!
